God calls all believers into service and invites them to join him in building the Kingdom of God. We are blessed to have many workers using their talents to God’s glory in our church, the community, and the world. The servant leaders below are dedicated to supporting, equipping, and organizing the CCN ministries and the volunteers that help keep them going.
Our Pastoral Staff
Lead Pastor – Reverend Denise Burns
Our Lead Pastor, Denise Burns, has a passion for bringing the CCN family closer to God through studying God’s Word and applying it to our daily lives. Her education at ASU, NAU, and Northwest Nazarene University (and former life as a junior high teacher) has equipped her to lead our staff and lay leaders, yet it is her loving Christian example and heart for community outreach that unifies the CCN family in ministry. As a former AZ District SDMI (Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International) Director, Denise values discipleship and growth. She was ordained in 2008 and has been the lead pastor for the CCN family since 2014.
Denise and her husband, Steve, have been married since 1973 and are blessed with 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
Children’s Pastor – Reverend Andi Blanton
Our children’s pastor, Andi Blanton, creates a fun, safe, joyful environment for the youngest CCN family members. She even encourages a little CHAOS (Children Hyped About Our Savior) now and then! Our children’s ministry reaches children of our regular members as well as kids from the surrounding neighborhood. Andi graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and was ordained in 2010. She has a heart for leading kids to Christ through fun activities, Bible stories, scripture memory, and good old fashioned conversation.
Andi, her husband Mike, and their two young adult children (Jordan & Cody) have been part of the CCN family since 2014.
Associate Pastor – Reverend Bob Hunter
Reverend Bob Hunter is an educator, writer, creator, handyman, mentor, youth worker, preacher, recreational athlete, outdoorsman, father, husband, and most of all; lover of good and hater of evil. He is the creator of RIP’d 4 Life Ministries whose mission is to create a culture of Christ-like men. He also loves the local church and enjoys serving people.

She supports teachers in professional development and coordinates CTE students as they transition from Junior High to High School. She also continues to work remotely for Camino Nuevo Charter Academy in California as their scholarship coordinator.
Chad Jacobs serves as the science department chair at Skyline High School in Mesa where he teaches physics. He also teaches physics at Mesa Community College.
Chantelle and Chad enjoy working with teenagers on Wednesday night, and love showing them that they are loved!
Music Ministry – Chuck Warner
Chuck has been leading the CCN family in worship since 1992. His love for the Lord is apparent as he (& our praise team) help us prepare our hearts for God’s message. He’s also served as co-director of the district IMPACT choir, and loves to develop musical talent in others. If you sing or play an instrument, let Chuck know!
Office Administrator – Melissa Anderson
Melissa is our juggler. She loves God, loves people, and loves to invest her excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills into helping ministry leaders manage details and keep balls in the air! She has a servant’s heart and currently leads the CCN MASH ministry. By the way, she also has a contagious smile!
